Young Leaders AwardThis brand new and exciting award is for students aged 13+ to develop their leadership skills in tchoukball. This prepares students to officiate or lead young children under the supervision of a teacher or coach either in a school or club environment. Students are not required to have played tchoukball before as full training will be given.

Course requirements

A 6 hour course can be delivered in 1 day or 2 half days. Tchoukball UK can guarantee delivery on Wednesdays although other days are possible. The school/club will only need to provide a sports hall for the course duration and a minimum of 14 students.

Course outcomes

Young LeadersBy the end of the course students should be able to:

  • referee and score a small sided game
  • lead an activity to develop passing, shooting or defending
  • understand the roles and responsibilities of a leader
  • identify risks and how to prevent them
  • understand different coaching techniques and how to give feedback
  • plan and organise a tchoukball festival/tournament for younger students
