Bury Kings are top of the leagueBury Kings edged out on top after stage two of the Tchoukball UK Super League.

Hard-fought victories against Leeds Galaxy and Guildford Inferno saw them go top of the Super Sevens with maximum points, while Leeds Galaxy defeated Southampton Stags in their other fixture, dropping to second.

Southampton Stags won against Farnborough Jets to go third, level on points with Guildford Inferno and Portsmouth Drakes. Guildford Inferno and Portsmouth Drakes played out the game of the day, Guildford winning after taking the lead for the first time in the final minute.

Farnborough Jets moved off the bottom into sixth, courtesy of their bonus point losses to Southampton Stags and Portsmouth Drakes, but Fareham Rhinos will go ahead if they can pick up points in their two games in hand. In Division 1, Broadland Bolts continued their fine form winning twice go two points clear of second placed Southampton Elks. Free scoring Bolts saw off Headingley Outlaws and Leeds Cosmos for the top spot. Southampton Elks also took home maximum points from the day, beating Leeds Cosmos and Portsmouth Ducks to go second. Third place Portsmouth Uni Pythons edged past Bury Saints for their first win of the season, beating them by a single point after being behind for most of the match, before comfortably defeating Innov8 Marlborough.

It was a bad day at the office for Leeds Cosmos, their two defeats seeing them slip down the table to fourth, level on points with Portsmouth Ducks, who narrowly beat Innov8 Marlborough before their loss to local rivals Southampton Elks. Bury Saints won their first ever match in the national league with victory in a feisty affair against Headingley Outlaws, moving three points clear of eighth-placed newcomers Innov8 Marlborough.
