The National League season kicks off on Sunday 15 November as the Alexander sports centre in Bedford hosts the first round of Super League and Division 1 matches. Current Super League champions Bury Kings face a tough task in season opener as they are up against a resurgent Guildford Inferno side who have recruited well in the summer adding current senior UK men's international player James Skilton to their ranks. Guildford will be looking to improve on last year's 3rd place finish and taking first blood against the reigning champions could well help them achieve this.

Newly promoted Broadland Bolts are back in the top flight of UK Tchoukball after winning last season's DivisIon 1 title and face a baptism of fire also against the reigning champions Bury Kings in Kings second match of the day. Title hopefuls Leeds Galaxy face long time rivals Guildford Inferno in what looks to be on paper one of the highlight matches of the day. Experienced Fareham Rhinos also play Leeds Galaxy in their opener as well as welcoming Broadland Bolts back to the top flight in the last Super League fixture of round 1.

Division 1 title favourites and current Challenge Cup holders Leeds Cosmos look to better their runners up place from last season as they take on newly expanded teams Guildford Ignite and the renamed Southampton Springboks. Bury Saints will look to continue their second half of the season form as they the ever improving Portsmouth Uni Pythons. Headingley Outlaws with the acquisition of former Leeds players Alistair MacDonald and Lisa McCormick will look to continue their progress in Division 1 with a tough opening game against Portsmouth Ducks whilst also renewing their close scoring rivalry with Portsmouth Uni Pythons. Newly expanded team Bury Wolves will look to continue their clubs long tradition of bringing through youth players as they will be tested in their first National league match against Portsmouth Ducks. In other news, another Super League top 4, hopeful Portsmouth Drakes have a bye week in round 1 and will therefore start their campaign in Round 2 against Broadland Bolts and Leeds Galaxy.
